Synchroon

Maaike is a developer at Synchroon, working on large-scale inner city developments such as Merwedekanaalzone in Utrecht and Bijlmer Centre in Amsterdam and driving the change towards urban developments based on a circular economy in the broadest sense of the word. Fierce believer of the need for change towards better balanced results socially, environmentally and economically. Implementing a circular approach for area development, design, construction. Experimenting with products, new business models & material passports, working on social design, creating positive healthy environments and urban nature. Currently developing a tool to measure impact on all aspects.

Previously Maaike worked for Being Development (B-Corp), Amvest (Development Manager) and Twynstra Gudde (Consultant).

Trained as a Urban Designer at Delft University of Technology (MSc).
