Carole Pollard is a graduate of Dublin School of Architecture DIT and holds a Master of Arts in history of design (NCAD). Her architectural practice includes research, writing, and lecturing on architectural history and practice.
Pollard currently teaches at Dublin School of Architecture DIT and is a visiting lecturer at the other Irish schools of architecture. Her recent research includes the Dublin City Twentieth Century Architecture Project with Dublin City Council.
Pollard has been an active member of the Royal Institute of Architects in Ireland since 1992, holding the role of RIAI President 2016/17. She is committed to supporting sustainable careers in architecture, to raising the profile of architecture in Ireland, and to promoting the relevance of architects in the creation of a quality built environment.
